The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released footage from the village of Dachne in the Dnipropetrovsk region, refuting claims that the settlement was captured by Russian forces.
The video was published on Facebook by the General Staff, as reported by Ukrinform.
“This is what the ‘occupied’ village of Dachne in the Dnipropetrovsk region looks like, according to the report by Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov — as shown by the soldiers of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces,” the post reads.
As previously reported, on August 30, Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov claimed that since March, Russian forces had allegedly captured “149 settlements.”
Ukraine’s General Staff responded by stating that Gerasimov’s report is based on wishful thinking and outright falsehoods. In reality, Russia’s latest “seasonal” campaign has yielded virtually no results.
Claims about the alleged capture of Dachne began circulating in early August. At that time, Ukraine’s General Staff denied the reports, emphasizing that the village remains under the control of Ukrainian Defense Forces.
