Residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region are being disconnected from gas and electricity services over even minor utility debts.
This was reported on Telegram by Oleksii Kharchenko, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.
“In several districts of occupied Luhansk region, particularly those near the front line, Russian forces are cutting off gas and electricity. Mass disconnections over even small unpaid utility bills began in June. These cases have been recorded in Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Sokolohirsk, Holubivka, as well as in the Svatove, Kreminna, and Slovianoserbsk areas,” Kharchenko stated.
He also noted that due to forced mobilization and low wages, nearly every municipal enterprise in the so-called “LPR” is facing severe shortage of personnel.
“At the Luhansk urban greenery and infrastructure combine, which is responsible for tasks including the repair of deteriorating architectural structures, 63% of positions remain vacant,” the regional head added.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, due to a lack of medical personnel in occupied Luhansk, paramedics and midwives are being forced to perform the duties of doctors.
