A fire broke out in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region, following a Russian drone attack. One person was killed and others were injured.
According to Ukrinform, the acting head of the Bila Tserkva City Council, Volodymyr Vovkotrub, reported this on Facebook.
“For the second night in a row, the Bila Tserkva community has come under attack from enemy drones. As a result, a fire broke out. Unfortunately, there are casualties, and one fatality has been confirmed,” he wrote.
Vovkotrub added that all relevant emergency services are currently working to mitigate the aftermath.
He also warned residents that smoke may be present in certain areas and urged them to keep their windows closed and remain calm.
Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, clarified that the body of the deceased man was discovered during firefighting efforts at a local garage cooperative.
“The city has reported shattered windows in multi-story residential buildings, fires at the garage cooperative, and damage to commercial and industrial facilities,” Kalashnyk wrote, promising to provide more detailed information soon.
As earlier reported by Ukrinform, a large fire also broke out overnight in Sumy, triggered by Russian drone strikes on non-residential buildings.
