Yermak discusses Kyiv Security Compact with US Army general

Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak had a conversation with Wesley Clark, U.S. Army General, former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO via video link.

As the press service of the President’s Office informs, Yermak thanked the general for support for Ukraine and corresponding public statements made during the full-scale war unleashed by Russia, in particular regarding the acceleration of the necessary aid supplies.

As noted, Ukraine constantly feels strong support from U.S. President Joseph Biden and his administration, both parties and houses of Congress, and the entire American people.

The Head of the President’s Office emphasized that Ukrainian defenders need weapons that will help to further liberate the territories captured by Russia and protect infrastructure and civilians. He emphasized that Ukraine is not ready for any compromises on its sovereignty and territorial integrity and pointed to the peace formula presented by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Among other things, Yermak informed the general about the Kyiv Security Compact – the recommendations on security guarantees for Ukraine developed by the international group led by Yermak and former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

As noted, “Ukraine is counting on the voice of people with such vast military and political experience.”

For his part, Clark expressed his belief that the United States will support Ukraine in this war as long as it takes.
