In the Khmelnytsky region, nine more parishes of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which were previously subordinate to the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate, have registered their charters.
This was reported by the Khmelnytsky Regional Administration on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“During the week, nine statutes of religious communities of the UOC, which have transferred to the OCU, were registered,” the statement reads.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war in the region, 198 religious communities of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate have registered new charters, 169 of which have moved to the OCU and 29 to independent Orthodox communities.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Khmelnytsky Regional Council decided to ban the activities of the UOC-Moscow Patriarchate in the region.
