Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken have discussed the United States’ steadfast support to Ukraine, as well as humanitarian needs in connection with the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
That’s according to a statement issued by U.S. Department of State Spokesperson Matthew Miller, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The two discussed the latest situation on the battlefield and the United States’ steadfast support to Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia’s brutal attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure,” the statement reads.
The Secretary expressed his concern for the thousands of Ukrainians impacted by the recent destruction of the Kakhovka dam, offering further U.S. support for those affected.
In addition, Kuleba and Blinken also discussed the Ukrainian Foreign Minister’s recent trip to Africa.
