Russia reduces number of warships in Black Sea to five

Russia has reduced the number of ships on combat duty in the Black Sea to five, with one missile carrier among them.

The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“As of 12:00 on June 18, 2023, there were five enemy ships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including one Kalibr cruise missile carrier, with a total salvo of eight missiles,” the report says.

There is also one enemy warship in the Sea of Azov.

In the Mediterranean Sea, Russia keeps eight warships on combat duty, including one Kalibr cruise missile carrier, with a total salvo of 16 missiles.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the Operational Command South, on the morning of June 18, Russia kept nine warships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including a frigate carrying eight Kalibr cruise missiles.
