Another sea mine washed up on the Black Sea coast of the Mykolaiv region by a storm.
The operational command ‘South’ reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
The Defense Forces specialists destroyed the mine by controlled detonation. Access to the location of the dangerous object is currently restricted.
According to Operational Command South, since the beginning of the year, the Defense Forces have discovered at least 31 mines in the coastal waters of the Black Sea.
The military emphasizes that during stormy weather, the mine danger in coastal waters and along the Black Sea coast increases significantly.
In many cases, mines explode when they collide with other objects in the water or when they are thrown onto the coast.
As reported, in late July, a sea mine washed up on a beach in the Odesa region.
