Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has called on partners to provide Taurus and ATACMS missiles as soon as possible.
“Long-range missiles have proved crucial. This is why Taurus and ATACMS are essential for Ukraine’s success, and we ask partners to provide them as soon as possible. Both will be used solely inside our borders. The longer the missile range, the shorter the war,” Kuleba wrote on the social platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Ukrinform reports.
As reported, the German federal government said that the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine is not being currently considered.
Taurus cruise missiles have a range of over 500 kilometers, can penetrate bunkers and are considered difficult to intercept.
Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman for the Air Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, said that Taurus long-range missiles could strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities significantly.
