
During the night of August 21, a facility of Ukraine’s gas transmission system (GTS) sustained damage following a Russian airstrike.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy, according to Ukrinform.
“On the night of August 20–21, one of the gas transmission system’s facilities was hit during a Russian aerial attack. Damage assessment is currently underway,” the statement reads.
It is noted that, thanks to the actions of personnel, the site of the damage has been contained.
As previously reported, a Russian strike on the night of August 19 targeted oil refining infrastructure and a gas transmission production facility in the Poltava region.
