Zelensky discusses support for AFU and security guarantees with UK Defence Staff Leadership

President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, UK Chief of the Defence Staff, and his successor, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton.

This was reported by the Office of the President, according to Ukrinform

“I met with the Chief of the UK Defence Staff, Admiral Tony Radakin, and his successor, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton. We discussed further support for Ukraine: the situation on the front lines, the needs of our warriors and the deliveries of necessary weapons, funding for Ukrainian drone production, and joint projects,” Zelensky noted.

According to him, the meeting also focused on diplomatic efforts to end the war and achieve a real and lasting peace.

“We must intensify our work to the maximum and ensure clarity and transparency in everything related to security guarantees. That is why we also discussed in detail the efforts of national security advisers on security guarantees for Ukraine and the developments within the Coalition of the Willing,” the president noted.

As previously reported, following the 28th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format, the United Kingdom announced a record aid package for drone supplies—£350 million, which will enable the delivery of 100,000 drones to Ukraine in 2025. Overall, British military support for Ukraine in 2025 will amount to £4.5 billion, including £247 million allocated for training the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
