“Today I received a report from the head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko, specifically regarding sanctions — which next steps are needed, which specific Russian legal entities must be blocked, which individuals require additional pressure, and which sanction-evasion schemes, unfortunately, are still working,” Zelensky said.
He added that all relevant information would be shared with Ukraine’s international partners, particularly members of the G7, noting that there is readiness on their part to strengthen sanctions further.
On August 23, Zelensky signed two decrees enacting new sanctions packages.
