Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak began their visit to the United States by honoring the memory of those killed as a result of the Russian attack.
Yermak reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Today, on the day of mourning, together with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, we began an international visit to the United States with a service at St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church and by honoring the memory of those killed as a result of the Russian attack,” Yermak informed.
Svyrydenko, for her part, stated on Telegram that “Russia is killing our future. It deliberately strikes civilians, trying to break us with terror”.
The Prime Minister noted that during the attack on the capital, 23 people were killed, including four children: “The youngest was a girl not yet three years old. She was born under Russian shelling in the fall of 2022 and died from it in August 2025.”
Svyrydenko expressed her “deepest condolences to all those who lost loved ones”.
As reported, today U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff is expected to meet with the Ukrainian delegation in the United States to discuss possible security guarantees for Ukraine.
