Russian troops launched 16 strikes on Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, killing and injuring civilians.
“Over the past day, the Russians launched 16 strikes on Donetsk region. Crimes have been documented. Police have recorded 30 damages to civilian objects, as well as infrastructure damages. Civilians were killed and injured,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine posted on Telegram.
In particular, Russian troops struck 13 localities of Donetsk region: Avdiivka, Zalizne, Mykolaivka Horniak towns; Cherkaske, Novomykolaivka, Vysokoivanivka, Pershotravneve, Sukha Balka, Ptyche, Karpivka, Netaylovo, and Novobahmutivka villages.
According to the Ministry data, the enemy fired tanks, small arms, heavy artillery, mortars, missiles, Uragan, Grad, and Tornado MLRS on civilians.
As a result of the enemy shelling, a total of 30 civilian objects were destroyed: 14 residential buildings, power lines, transformer substations, forests, and garages.
Russia’s war crimes were documented. Pre-trial investigations were launched under Article 438 (violation of the laws or customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported, on June 9, Russian troops fired on 23 localities of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, killing at least three civilians.
