The Republic of Indonesia is ready to join the restoration of Ukraine’s healthcare infrastructure destroyed by Russian invaders.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine made a corresponding announcement following a meeting between Deputy Health Minister Oleksiy Yaremenko and the delegation of the Republic of Indonesia.
“The Republic of Indonesia is ready to join the restoration of Ukraine’s healthcare infrastructure, which was destroyed by missiles and shells of Russian occupiers. In particular, we are talking about investments in the amount of $5 million which can be used to rebuild Ukrainian healthcare institutions,” the statement reads.
It is noted that projects to restore healthcare infrastructure are already being implemented in the de-occupied regions, including at the expense of philanthropists.
Over the past three months, the Republic of Indonesia has provided significant support to the Ukrainian healthcare system by supplying humanitarian goods in the form of medicines, medical products, and consumables.
As reported, 32 healthcare facilities, destroyed by Russians amid the full-scale invasion, have already been restored in Ukraine.
