One of the six reactors continues to operate and generate enough power to support the safe operation of the ZNPP.
The nuclear reactor at the Zaporozhye NPP has enough energy to ensure safety. This was stated in the IAEA, commenting on the consequences of the latest shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, reports Sky News.
It is noted that the Ukrainian side informed the IAEA that the 330 kV reserve power transmission line that connects the Zaporizhzhya NPP with the thermal power plant was disconnected during the fire extinguishing. The line was not damaged and will be reconnected after the fire has been extinguished.
The IAEA said that all power lines have been disconnected from the station, but one of the six reactors continues to operate and generate enough power to support the safe operation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
Earlier today, Energoatom reported that the Zaporozhye NPP was again completely disconnected from the Ukrainian power grid, the only operating power unit that ensured the operation of the station stopped at the station.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy announced that the repair of networks to the ZNPP is still impossible due to hostilities.
It also became known today that part of the mission staff left the nuclear power plant, two representatives of the IAEA remained at it.
