Russian troops blew up high-voltage power lines in the temporarily occupied city of Beryslav in the Kherson Region, and the city may remain without electricity until its complete deoccupation.

Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the regional military administration, said this in a statement on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“In temporarily occupied Beryslav, Russian troops blew up high-voltage power lines. About one and a half kilometers of utility poles and lines were destroyed,” Yanushevych wrote.

According to him, the city was left without electricity, as the damage was quite extensive.

The official said that it is impossible to quickly repair the power lines due to a lack of specialists and equipment. In addition, Russian invaders will not allow this to be done. He suggested that there would be no light in Beryslav until the city was completely deoccupied.

In addition, Russian terrorists mined water wells in Beryslav. There are 14 of them in the city. Currently, it is being determined how many of them have been mined.

It emerged that the occupiers had also blown up high-voltage lines leading to Kherson. Therefore, problems with electricity supply began in the regional center and a number of other settlements.

Yanushevych added that such actions by the Russian army are terror targeting the civilian population of the Kherson region.
