Police officers have so far opened 49,940 criminal proceedings to investigate the crimes committed by the Russians and their accomplices in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.
“Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the National Police investigators have initiated 49,940 inquiries into the crimes committed by service members of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and their accomplices in the territory of Ukraine,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports.
In particular, 38,398 cases were opened under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of laws and customs of war), 9,144 – Art. 110 (Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), 2,210 – Art. 111-1 (Collaborationism), 103 – Art. 111 (High treason), 37 – Art. 113 (Sabotage), etc.
According to the Ministry data, since the beginning of the full-scale war with Russia, 450 children have been killed, 863 have been injured, and 333 have gone missing. In addition, 8,350 children have been found, 13,613 have been deported to the Russian Federation, and 122 have been returned home.
