One more prefabricated bridge provided by French partners has been put into service in the Chernihiv region’s village of Staryi Bilous.
The relevant statement was made by Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Head Viacheslav Chaus on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The 42-meter structure was installed in Staryi Bilous. […] This is a temporary measure prior to building a new capital bridge,” Chaus wrote.
The bridge is made of metal, and its road surface is wooden. The structure can withstand vehicles of up to 18 tonnes in weight.
In general, French partners handed over six prefabricated bridges to the Chernihiv region. One of them has already been put into service in Staryi Bilous, and regional authorities are working to install three more.
