Residents of Mariupol, temporarily captured by Russian troops, still have to stand in long lines in the frost to get warm food.
“Mariupol. February 2023. Frost. Hundreds of people stand in line for hours to get warm food. The occupation routine,” Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to the Mariupol city mayor, posted on Telegram, publishing the relevant photos.
As reported, Russia’s aggression caused one of the biggest humanitarian disasters in Mariupol. The city was almost 90% destroyed by enemy shelling.
Currently, more than 100,000 residents remain in the city. Damaged houses have no heating, normal water or electricity supply. Hospitals are full of wounded Russian soldiers, and ill city residents are denied hospitalization.
