UN reports on 23,600 civilian casualties in Ukraine since Russian invasion started
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has now verified 23,600 civilian casualties in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. The relevant statement was made by UN Under Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths at a meeting of the UN Security Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. According to Griffiths, the actual toll is likely to be much higher.
