Intelligence Service of Ukraine intercepted documents about russia's initial plans to capture Kyiv

What happened? The Intelligence Service of Ukraine received documentary confirmation of the intentions of the russian leadership to capture the left-bank part of Ukraine and its capital, Kyiv.

Source. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

Details. “The obtained documents demonstrate the intentions of the occupiers to capture the capital of Ukraine. In particular, the russian military group “Center”,which operated towards the Chernihiv and Sumy directions, was tasked with capturing the left-bank part of Kyiv,” it is said in the statement.

As it is informed, such information was set out in the combat instruction of the commander of the 96th separate reconnaissance brigade, which he had received from the headquarters of the 1st Panzer Army of the Western Military District. The document defines the stages of the offensive and tasks for brigade personnel.

The analysis of the enemy’s combat documents reveals the real russia’s plans to capture the Ukrainian capital, and all the statements of russian politicians and propagandists in which they are talking about russian intentions just to detain Ukrainian subunits around the capital and the unconstrained withdraw of the russian troops from Kyiv are just a lie and an attempt to hide the defeat of the occupying forces.

Background. The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar called on not to connect the possibility of returning to Kyiv with May 9, as the russian army is amassing its forces to continue its attack on Ukraine.
