Russian forces continue making attempts to gain control of the town of Sievierodonetsk and get ready to assault Slovyansk.
“The aggressor continues to launch missile and air strikes on military and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine and does not abandon attempts to establish control over the town of Sievierodonetsk,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook, informing about the situation at the front as of 18:00.
As noted, the situation in Volyn and Polissya directions has not changed significantly.
In Siversky direction, the enemy did not take active action. During the day, the enemy fired on Senkivka in Chernihiv region and Sopych, Konstantynivka, Stari Vyrky, Velyka Pisarivka in Sumy region.
In Kharkiv direction, the enemy is fighting to hold the occupied frontiers, continues to fire on Ukrainian troops, mines the area.
In Slovyansk direction, the enemy focuses on preparing troops for the assault on the town of Slovyansk. The invaders fired on Velyka Komyshuvakha, Dolyna, Kurulka, Hrushuvakha, Chervona Poliana, and Shnurky.
In Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy fired tube and rocket artillery on Ukrainian units and civilian infrastructure in the area of Lysychansk, Borivske, and Metiolkino.
According to the General Staff data, in Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian troops are successfully deterring assault operations in the area of the village of Komyshuvakha. Enemy attempts to assault Svitlodarsk and Vuhlehirsk TPP were also unsuccessful.
Near Nahirne, the Ukrainian defenders inflicted fire damage on the occupiers. After an unsuccessful assault attempt, the enemy retreated to its former position.
The occupiers did not conduct active hostilities in Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions.
In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy focused its main efforts on conducting reconnaissance, holding the occupied frontiers, and regaining lost positions. In addition, the enemy units fire artillery to thwart favorable conditions for Ukraine’s counteroffensive in Kherson and Mykolayiv regions.
There have been no significant changes in Bessarabsky direction.
In the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, an enemy naval group is deployed to block civilian navigation in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
The intensity of the use of enemy aircraft has been reduced due to successful actions of the Ukrainian air defense units. The enemy focuses its efforts on supporting the actions of the ground group and launching missile strikes on infrastructure in the depths of Ukraine.
