As of July 22, 358 children were killed and more than 683 children were wounded in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression.
“More than 1,041 children in Ukraine have been affected as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation in our country. As of the morning of July 22, 2022, the official number of children killed did not change over the past day – 358. The number of the wounded increased – more than 683,” the Prosecutor General’s Office posted on Telegram with reference to the data of juvenile prosecutors.
It is noted that these data are not final as efforts are ongoing to establish casualties in areas of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Most children were affected in Donetsk region – 361, Kharkiv region – 194, Kyiv region – 116, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Mykolaiv region – 53, Kherson region – 54, Zaporizhzhia region – 40.
It became known about two more boys, 13 and 14, who were wounded in the enemy shelling of the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, on July 20.
A total of 2,188 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Of them, 221 were completely destroyed.
