The Imagine Dragons become the ambassadors for the United24 platform.
“We were incredibly moved. We’re grateful to be ambassadors for the United24 to focus on raising awareness and funds for medical aid for the beautiful people of Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health of Ukraine quoted the band’s statement.
At first, the band will focus on the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska who started raising funds for reanimobiles.
As reported, American actor with Ukrainian roots Liev Schreiber, Ukrainian football player Andriy Shevchenko, and Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina already joined the fundraising campaign. Thanks to joint efforts, almost $80 million were collected in two months.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine spent the donations raised through United24 on buying 12 C-arm machines and 35 transport ventilators.
On May 17, President Zelensky signed a decree to create the United24 national brand to unite the efforts of international partners in support of Ukraine.
The United24 fundraising platform is a so-called “single window” for donations from charitable organizations, international partners and citizens to support Ukraine, in particular, in the following areas: assistance to the Armed Forces, humanitarian, medical and children assistance, infrastructure restoration, digital and information counteraction to armed aggression.
