Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed an enemy Su-25 fighter jet on July 24.
The press service of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces said in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.
“Today, an air defense unit of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assualt Forces successfully shot down a Russian Su-25 Grach fighter jet,” the report reads.
It is noted that Ukrainian paratroopers shot down the enemy armored aircraft using an Igla man-portable air defense system (MANPADS).
As reported, from February 24 to July 24, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 39,520 Russian troops, including 280 in the past day alone.
