Ukraine gets new batch of bridges from Czech Republic

The State Material Reserves Administration of the Czech Republic has sent a new batch of bridge structures to Ukraine to restore services in areas affected by hostilities.

The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“A new batch of humanitarian bridges has started arriving in Ukraine. The State Material Reserves Administration of the Czech Republic sent 14 metal structures. We thank the allied countries that came to help Ukraine rebuild its transport infrastructure during wartime,” the report reads.

The ministry clarified that the Czech Republic is the leader of an informal club of support for Ukrainian roads. The Czech Republic was the first country to send temporary metal bridges to restore services in the war-torn regions. During 2022, the Czech Republic provided Ukraine with ten bridges.
