Russian army has killed 486 children in Ukraine

As a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression, 486 children have been killed in Ukraine.

“As of the morning of June 8, 2023, more than 1,495 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 486 children were killed and more than 1,009 received injuries of various degrees of severity,” the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office wrote on Telegram.

It is noted that these figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region – 464, Kharkiv region – 283, Kyiv region – 128, Kherson region – 105, Zaporizhzhia region – 91, Mykolaiv region – 89, Dnipropetrovsk region – 80, Chernihiv region – 71, and Luhansk region – 67.

On June 7, a 4-year-old boy was killed and four children, aged 3 to 13, were injured by Russia’s artillery strikes in Ukrainsk of Donetsk region.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the evening of June 7, Russian strikes killed three people, including a child, in Ukrainsk, Selydove community, Donetsk region. Five people were injured, including four children.
