The Russian invaders have stepped away from military science and are chaotically mining Ukrainian territory.
The spokesman for the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces Valerii Shershen said this on the air of the nationwide telethon “United News”, Ukrinform reports.
” Mining of the territory is a big problem, and this is reflected in the pace of our advance. The enemy has moved away from the classics and is just chaotically throwing mines. According to military science, there should be 5-10 meters between mines, but the Russians are placing mines every two meters, in groups, and combining them. Previously, if you knew the mines were laid out like a chessboard with a two- to three-meter offset, you could look for the first and second rows and imagine a scheme for further demining. Now all this does not work,” said Shershen.
He reminded that to overcome minefields, appropriate engineering equipment is needed. Currently, it is being provided to Ukraine by international partners, including engineering tanks such as DACHS.
“We have this equipment, it has proven itself in action,” said Shershen.
As Ukrinform reported, over the previous day in the Tavria direction, the Defense Forces destroyed 84 invaders, 156 were wounded and two were captured. The Defense Forces also destroyed 16 units of enemy equipment.
