Woman blows up by explosives in forest in Kharkiv region

In Izium district of Kharkiv region, a 70-year-old woman was blown up by an explosive device and hospitalized with serious injuries.

That’s according to the press service of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv region on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“On July 4, at about 14:30, another accident occurred in the Izium district on the territory of the Piskiv forestry, caused by the detonation of an unknown explosive device. A 70-year-old woman stumbled upon it while visiting a forest area. The explosion resulted in a mine-blast injury associated with the amputation of her right foot and shrapnel wounds,” the statement said.

As Ukrinform reported, the de-occupied territory of Kharkiv region is densely mined. As of July 3, 200 civilian explosions have already occurred in the region, killing 38 people and injuring more than 60.
