Russian drone attack damages infrastructure facility in Zhytomyr region

The Russian army attacked Ukraine’s northern Zhytomyr region with Shahed one-way attack drones early on Wednesday, July 19, hitting an infrastructure facility.

Vitalii Bunechko, the head of the Zhytomyr regional military administration, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“This morning, the enemy attacked the Zhytomyr region with kamikaze drones. According to preliminary information, an infrastructure facility was hit in a Shahed strike. There is damage to private households,” the post reads.

All emergency services are working at the scene.

In the early morning hours of July 19, Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed all enemy kamikaze drones that the Russian aggressors had used to attack the Ukrainian capital. The UAVs were intercepted on the approaches to Kyiv.
