In Bakhmut direction, southern to Bakhmut, the Defense Forces are gradually moving forward. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders repelled several enemy attacks in Kupiansk without losing positions.
Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“In Bakhmut direction on the south of Bakhmut we are gradually moving forward. Fighting continues in the area of Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Andriivka. The fighting is quite fierce. The enemy is firing intensively. We are repelling enemy attacks north of Bakhmut,” said Maliar.
According to her, “the enemy is attacking in Kupiansk direction, trying to drive us out of the dominant heights.” “Today our defenders repelled several attacks without losing positions,” noted Maliar.
She added that several enemy attacks in the area of Serebrianskyi forest were also repelled in the Lyman direction today.
As Ukrinform reported, the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev informed during the telethon “United News” that Ukrainian troops continue to conduct offensive operations north and south of the city of Bakhmut.
