Russian invasion forces have introduced a military conscription office in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region. All male residents are forced to register.

That’s according to Ivan Fedorov, a Melitopol Mayor in exile, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, reports Ukrinform.

“The enemy understands they have not succeeded in manning their volunteer battalions. As long as a year ago, they started to form their Sudoplatov Battalion, which the residents did not join voluntarily so they would bring manpower from Russia. Then they began to form a Cossack Battalion. No one would join it either. Then they began to form a so-called ‘militia’ based at local police, but our residents are waiting for the Armed Forces, remaining unwilling to join any enemy formations. Now they have brought a Gauleiter who refers to himself a ‘military commissar,’” he said.

In addition, the occupiers have set up “military desks” at each enterprise, where military records of employees are stored.
