President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed further bilateral defense cooperation with Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovačevski on the sidelines of the Ukraine-Balkans summit in Athens.
“The Head of State thanked the head of the government of North Macedonia for his unwavering and principled support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty,” the President’s Office informs.
The leaders discussed the situation on the battlefield. Zelensky drew attention to Russia’s increasing production of missiles using Western components.
Zelenskyy thanked Kovačevski for defense support, in particular, the preparation of a new assistance package. The parties discussed the development of further cooperation between the states in the field of defense.
The leaders said that integration into the European Union is a common goal of the two countries, and agreed to coordinate efforts on this path.
