Over the year, the number of objects destroyed as a result of military operations in Ukraine has increased by 50,000.
This was announced during the forum “Digitalization of Urban Development in Ukraine. Current Status and Next Steps for Transparent Recovery” forum, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction – Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba said, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“At the beginning of 2024, we recorded 280,000 destroyed objects. This figure has already increased to 330,000. That is, this terrible dynamics has reached 50,000 objects in a year,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
He emphasized that Ukraine faces the task not only to restore the destroyed, but also to make sure that every decision, every reconstruction project has meaning, logic and care for people.
According to Kuleba, digitalization is the tool that makes it possible to carry out the restoration as clearly, efficiently, transparently, and accountably as possible at all stages – from planning the facility, allocating resources, and monitoring project implementation.
In addition, digitalization is an element of trust not only within the country but also among international partners, which is extremely important for mobilizing aid and investment.
As reported, during the sixth meeting of the Strategic Investment Council, the Cabinet of Ministers considered proposals for priority areas of recovery for 2025, including the social sector, infrastructure restoration, and demining.
