Slovenia reiterates continued support for Ukraine for “as long as it takes”

Slovenia will continue to support Ukraine in its efforts to repel Russian aggression.

Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon spoke with reporters on the sidelines of a two-day NATO foreign ministerial in Brussels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Slovenia provides Ukraine with significant support in the form of material, humanitarian and military assistance and will continue to do so for as long as it takes, according to the minister.

Fajon said that during a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Brussels, it will be possible to determine in more detail the requirements and needs for equipment, as well as reaffirm Slovenia’s strong commitment and support for Ukraine.

The Slovenian minister also condemned Russia’s engaging of North Korean troops in the war against Ukraine and the Kremlin’s irresponsible nuclear rhetoric.

Ukraine has the right to self-defense, and Slovenia has a duty and interest to help and resolutely support Ukraine, she stressed.

As reported, a two-day meeting of NATO foreign ministers kicked off in Brussels on Tuesday, December 3, were on top agenda is increasing support for Ukraine, as well as countering hybrid attacks against Allies by Russia and other totalitarian regimes.

On Tuesday, as part of this meeting, a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council took place with the participation of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
