Death toll from Russia’s Jan 8 airstrike on Zaporizhzhia grows

A man who was injured in Russia’s airstrike on Zaporizhzhia on January 8 died in hospital.

This was announced by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on Ukrainian television, Ukrinform reports.

“Zaporizhzhia is still recovering from the enemy airstrike. As many as 60 people are still in hospitals in the region. Yesterday, a man who was injured on January 8 as a result of an airstrike on an enterprise in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city died in hospital. Doctors had been fighting for his life for almost two weeks,” he said.

Thus, the death toll from Russia’s glide bomb attack on the city increased to 14.

As reported, since September 22, 2024, enemy guided aerial bombs have killed at least 69 civilians and injured 469 more in the Zaporizhzhia region. Of these, 48 have been killed and 386 injured in the city of Zaporizhzhia.
