In Kryvyi Rih, rescuers extinguished a fire in an apartment on the fourth floor that broke out in one of the five-story buildings due to a missile strike by the Russian army.
That’s according to the State Emergency Service, Ukrinform reports.
“Work is underway. Twenty-eight rescuers are working at the site and seven units of equipment have been deployed,” the State Emergency Service noted.

A psychological assistance point has been deployed, psychologists from the State Emergency Service are providing assistance to residents.
As reported on Telegram by the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, the headquarters at the site of the missile strike will be open to citizens around the clock.
“The headquarters for assisting people is deployed in tents within direct visibility, so I will not report the address. Building materials are already on site. You can get plywood, film, rails, nails, etc. Assistance with resettlement, applications for material assistance from the municipal authorities for the restoration of apartments. The headquarters will work around the clock,” he wrote.
As for fatalities, four civilians were killed by a ballistic missile: three women aged 61, 50, and 43, as well as a 20-year-old man.
Seven more people were injured. Three are in serious condition, three of them, two men and a woman, are in extremely grave condition. Windows, roofs and facades were damaged in 11 houses.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, three women and a man were killed and seven people were injured in the Russian attack on January 17 in Kryvyi Rih. Two five-storey buildings sustained damaged, and one of them caught fire.
A Day of Mourning will be declared in Kryvyi Rih on Monday, January 20.
