In 2024, the Russian invasion forces lost more soldiers killed or wounded than in the previous two years of the big war.

That’s according to Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, who spoke in an interview with war correspondent Andriy Tsaplienko, aired on national television, Ukrinform reports.

“Their manpower loss, as per our estimates, stands at over 434,000, of which approximately 150,000 were killed in 2024. Over this year (2024 – ed.) of hostilities, they’ve lost more than in the previous two years of the war,” Syrskyi said.
