A total of 189 combat engagements have been recorded along the frontlines of the Russo-Ukrainian war over the past 24 hours. The Russians were attacking most actively in the Pokrovsk direction.
That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.
Yesterday, the enemy launched a missile strike and 40 airstrikes, dropping 59 KAB glide bombs on Ukraine’s Army positions and at peaceful settlements.
In addition, the Russians carried out over 5,000 artillery strikes, including 114 involving MLR systems, as well as launched 2,832 kamikaze drones.
Russian airstrikes targeted the areas of Oleksandrivka and Velyka Pysarivka in Sumy region; Hremiach, Mykhalchyna Sloboda, and Kuty Pershi in Chernihiv region; Vovchanski Khutory and Vovchansk in Kharkiv region; Troitske, Oleksiivka, Novopil, and Rozlyv in Donetsk region.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s aviation, missile and artillery units hit five Russian manpower and equipment clusters and two air defense systems.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted three times, with air support, to break through Ukraine’s defensive lines near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, 13 Russian attacks were recorded yesterday. The defense forces repelled the assaults near Stroyivka, Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzovoye, Kutkivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 17 times, trying to wedge into the defenses near Novoyehorivka, Nadiia, Novoserhiivka, Pershotravneve, Zelenyi Hai, Makiivka, Novosadove, Zarichne, Kolodiaz, Zelena Dolyna, Terny, and in the Serebryanka Forest.
In the Siversk direction, the invaders went for an offensive in the areas of Ivano-Daryivka and Verkhniokamianske. Two attacks have been repelled.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian army attacked seven times in the area of Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy went for 19 attacks near Toretsk, Diliivka, and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces held back 89 assaults toward Zelene Pole, Oleksandropil, Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Shevchenko, Udachne, Uspenivka, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Novotroitske, Novoandriivka, Slovianka, Petropavlivka, Andriivka, Dachne, Ulakli, and Yantarne.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russians carried out 16 attacks toward Kostiantynopil and Velyka Novosilka. The enemy also actively employed aviation.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army once stormed the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the Novoandriivka area.
In the Prydniprovia direction, the Defense Forces are making efforts to prevent the advance of Russian troops deeper into Ukrainian territory, having repelled two offensive efforts.
In the Huliaipole direction over the past day, the Russians did ran no active operations.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no significant changes have occurred.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defense Forces pursue their raid into Russia’s Kursk region where over the past day, the Russians have launched 12 airstrikes, dropping 16 KAB glide bombs, and 416 shelled Ukrainian troops. Ukraine’s grouping operating in the area repelled 14 Russian assaults.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russia’s war casualty toll is estimated at 820,430, including 1,690 killed or wounded in action over the past day alone.
