This year, North Korea will transfer 150 more KN-23 short-range ballistic missiles to Russia.
The head of the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, told The War Zone, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, Pyongyang is expected to send another 150 KN-23 short-range ballistic missiles to Moscow in 2025.
He added that last year the DPRK handed over 148 such missiles to Russia.
Budanov also noted that over the past three months, North Korea has supplied Russia with about 120 units of M1989 Koksan 170-mm self-propelled artillery systems and 120 units of M-1991 240-mm multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and is likely to send at least as many more in the future.
“They have a lot of these systems. The 170mm weapons have powerful ammunition and good capability. The 240mm MLRS are like any other heavy systems. They make more problems on the front line,” he added.
According to the head of the Defense Intelligence, North Korea may send reinforcements to the Kursk region (Russia).
“We do not expect to see many new ground troops. They (the North Korean military – ed.) are like biological robots,” he said.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, according to South Korean intelligence, at least 300 North Korean soldiers sent to participate in Moscow’s war in Ukraine were killed and about 2,700 others were injured.
