President Volodymyr Zelensky extended condolences to the families and loved ones of those who died in the Shahed drone attack on Kyiv region. He emphasized that there must be accountability for every component used to manufacture drones and missiles supplied in violation of sanctions.
The Ukrainian President shared this message on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
“All night long, rescue operations continued in Kyiv region following a Shahed drone attack. Residential buildings were damaged in Brovary and Hlevakha. Tragically, three people lost their lives. My condolences to their families and loved ones. There are also wounded who are receiving the necessary medical care. The rescue operation finished only at 9:00,” Zelensky stated.
He expressed gratitude to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service workers, medical staff, police, and everyone involved in rescuing people.
“I also extend my gratitude to every leader and every country exerting pressure on Russia to bring this unprovoked and terrorist war to an end. In particular, there must be accountability for every component supplied in violation of sanctions and used in the production of Shahed drones and missiles. Russia would not be able to wage this war at all if its accomplices were truly restricted from supporting this terror and frontline offensives,” Zelensky remarked.
