One civilian killed, one injured in Russian strikes on Donetsk region

Russian troops killed one civilian and injured another in the Donetsk region on Saturday, January 25.

Donetsk Region Governor Vadym Filashkin announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“Russia is killing civilians! On January 25, the Russians killed one resident of the Donetsk region – in Pokrovsk. Another person in the region was injured over the past 24 hours,” he said.

Filashkin said that two high-rise buildings, two private houses and an administrative building were damaged in Pokrovsk, while two houses were damaged in Hryshyne. Seven houses were damaged in Serhiivka, Udachne community. An administrative building and a gas pipeline were damaged in Kostiantynivka. Six houses were damaged in Siversk.

In total, Russian forces shelled settlements in the Donetsk region 11 times within the past day. Thirty-six individuals, including seven children, were evacuated from the front-line areas.
