Ukraine needs more weapons, air defense systems – PM Shmyhal on Russia’s morning attacks

Following another Russian terrorist attack on Ukrainian cities, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine urgently needs more weapons and air defense systems.

As reported by Ukrinform, Shmyhal made this statement on Telegram.

“Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions: there are casualties and injuries. My condolences to the families,” Shmyhal stated.

According to the Prime Minister, in Poltava, a Russian missile struck a residential building, completely destroying an entrance section.

“At least three people have been killed, with dozens injured, including children. Rescue workers are on-site clearing the rubble,” he added.

Shmyhal stressed that Ukraine needs more weapons and air defense systems to protect its people. He reiterated that every bit of assistance from international partners helps save lives.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that each terrorist attack by Russia proves Ukraine requires increased international support and stronger sanctions against the aggressor state.
