Polish President Andrzej Duda stated that it would be in Ukraine’s interest for the Trump administration to include Poland in negotiations aimed at ending the war.

He said this in an interview with the Financial Times, Ukrinform reports.

Duda emphasized Poland’s commitment to supporting Ukraine, adding that while direct military deployment was not necessary, continued assistance was essential.

He also highlighted Poland’s ongoing role in aiding Ukraine, supplying weapons, and acting as a logistical hub for both military and humanitarian aid.

Duda also noted Poland’s vulnerability to potential Russian attacks.

He suggested that if Donald Trump’s administration were to expand the list of participants in negotiations beyond Ukraine and Russia, Poland’s inclusion would serve Ukraine’s interests.

Duda concluded that given the resurgence of Russian imperialism, Poland’s and Ukraine’s interests were closely aligned in this situation.

As Ukrinform previously reported, during the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos, President Duda stated that achieving a just resolution to the war — one that ensures Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence while curbing Russia’s imperial ambitions — requires measures that would compel the Kremlin to seek peace negotiations.
