Drone operators from the Ukrainian National Guard’s 4th Ivan Bohun Operational Brigade “Chervona Kalyna” together with soldiers from the 38th Separate Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy stopped the Russian troops’ offensive in the Pokrovsk sector.
National Guard Commander, Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko wrote this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Joint work is a joint victory! In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy attempted to break through our defenses by sending two infantry fighting vehicles and one tank into the battle. However, thanks to the coordinated work of our soldiers, this offensive turned into their defeat,” emphasized Pivnenko.
He said that drone operators from the Chervona Kalyna Brigade together with the soldiers from the 38th Separate Marine Brigade launched drone attacks on enemy equipment, depriving the Russians of any chance to break through.
“Clear coordination, quick decision-making and accurate strikes – and another Russian attack was thwarted,” the NGU commander emphasized.
The Khortytsia operational and strategic group of forces shared footage showing the joint work of the Chervona Kalyna Brigade and the Marines.
As reported by Ukrinform, according to the Khortytsia group of forces, Russian troops were forced to abandon their frontline positions near a settlement in the Kupiansk sector due to heavy fire from Ukrainian forces.
