Strike on Izium: wounded man dies in hospital, raising death toll to six

The number of victims of the Russian strike on Izium has increased to six – a 61-year-old man died in hospital.

The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said this in a Telegram message, Ukrinform reports.

“Unfortunately, a 61-year-old man died in hospital. He was hospitalized as a result of yesterday’s shelling of Izium. Doctors fought for his life for a day, but failed to save him,” said the head of the regional military administration.

As reported by Ukrinform, at about 11:40 a.m. on February 4, the Russian army struck the central part of the city of Izium in Kharkiv region with an Iskander ballistic missile, killing five people, including a pregnant woman. Fifty-seven people were injured, 24 of them hospitalized. As of the morning of February 5, five wounded were in hospitals, two of them in serious condition, including a 14-year-old girl.
