Ukraine attacks Russia’s Primorsko-Akhtarsky airfield

On the night of February 6, Ukraine’s Defense Forces hit Russia’s Primorsko-Akhtarsky military airfield located in the Krasnodar Territory.

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

“Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, jointly with other components of our Defense Forces, hit the Primorsko-Akhtarsky airfield in Russia’s Krasnodar Territory overnight Thursday, February 6. This is an operational base of aviation assets,” the statement reads.

The airfield is used for storing, preparing, and launching Shahed attack drones at Ukraine, as well as servicing aircraft performing combat sorties in the areas of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

“The hits and explosions in the area of ​​the target have been confirmed. A fire has broken out. The level of damage inflicted is being clarified,” the General Staff noted, assuring that strikes on targets involved in sustaining Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and terrorizing the civilian population will continue.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, units of Ukraine’s Security Service, in cooperation with the Army and other elements of the Defense Forces, attacked an Albashneft LLC oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Territory.
