President Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko and Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba to develop a clear program to support IDPs.
The head of the Ukrainian state said this in an evening address, commenting on his meeting in Ukraine with EBRD President Audrey Renaud-Basso, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to him, he spoke with the EBRD today, in particular, about the need to support all those who were forced to leave their homes because of the war, who lost their homes.
“We need to help these people get normal apartments or houses in a new place: this is the most important issue for millions of Ukrainian IDPs – their own home. And our partners definitely have the resources to help with this. Today, I also set the relevant tasks for Finance Minister Marchenko and Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Kuleba. Within two weeks, we need to have a clear program – a program to support internally displaced persons, effective and understandable to people,” he said.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to the EBRD for supporting Ukraine. According to him, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s programs are aimed at many important areas.
“I would also like to thank France today, personally President Macron, for the fulfillment of our agreements. Our Air Force is now supplemented by “mirages”, French aircraft, and this is another stage in the development of Ukrainian military aviation. We will be able to perform more tasks. I also thank the Netherlands – there is a new supply of F-16s, and this is important,” the President said.
As reported, Zelensky offered the EBRD to help support veterans after the suspension of USAID programs.
