A 37-year-old employee of a critical infrastructure company was killed in Kherson after being attacked by a Russian drone.
That’s according to Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.
The worker was targeted while performing emergency repair work, Mrochko said.
“The Russian terrorists killed a critical infrastructure worker today while he was carrying out emergency repairs,” the statement reads.
The attack took place in the Dniprovskyi district, where the victim sustained fatal injuries due to an explosive device dropped from an enemy drone.
The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that Russian forces dropped explosives from a UAV on the gas service worker as he was responding to a damaged network.
The regional prosecutor’s office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the incident as a war crime that resulted in the worker’s death.
According to the investigation, at approximately 15:37 on February 7, 2025, Russian troops carried out a drone attack on a street in Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district. The 37-year-old man suffered fatal injuries from the explosion.
